Rob Van Dam, Sabu To Return To Impact Wrestling For Match With Lucha Bros

WrestleMania weekend has proven to be the home of a number of unforgettable "dream matches" over the past few years, and that fact is not simply confined to just WWE. On Friday night, Impact Wrestling announced a rather intriguing match pitting two modern-day masked marvels against a pair of extreme legends.

Pentagon Jr and Rey Fenix will team up to face Rob Van Dam and Sabu at Impact Wrestling's United We Stand, from the Rahway Rec Center in Rahway, NJ, three nights before WrestleMania 35. The event will broadcast live on the company's Twitch.

Van Dam, 48, previously had a three-year stint in Impact Wrestling, during which time he held both the company's World and X Division belts, before leaving in March 2013. Sabu, 54, would make a number of appearances with TNA between 2002 and 2010, most notably a sustained tenure in 2005-06, before leaving to join up with WWE's launch of the ECW brand.

Van Dam previously faced off with Pentagon in a losing effort at PCW Ultra's Tuff Luck event in Wilmington, CA, in March 2018.
