Rey Mysterio Re-Signs With WWE

Rey Mysterio signs new WWE deal

Rey Mysterio won't be leaving WWE any time soon.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Rey Mysterio has re-signed with WWE. There is no word on when exactly Mysterio put pen to paper, nor how long his new contract is.

Rey Mysterio is currently in his second WWE run, having returned to the company in 2018. He signed an initial two-year deal and then re-signed with WWE on a three-year deal in 2020. His contract initially expired, which led to an angle where Seth Rollins crushed his eye into the steel steps to briefly blind him on TV, but Mysterio ended up signing a new deal.

A key factor in Rey re-signing back in 2020 was Dominik's future with the company and the father and son duo began teaming together in 2020, remaining aligned on TV until 2022 when Dominik turned on his dad and aligned with Judgment Day.

Rey Mysterio is currently off WWE TV with a torn meniscus. He was written off TV in November 2023 with a beatdown from Santos Escobar, who turned on his LWO stablemate in the process. Mysterio will reportedly be out of action for up to eight weeks so he should be back in time for the Royal Rumble.
