Rey Mysterio Written Off WWE TV

Rey Mysterio seemingly won't be on WWE TV any time in the near future.

It was announced on the February 24 edition of Monday Night Raw by Michael Cole that Rey Mysterio is out of action indefinitely following the attack from the New Day on the February 10 episode from WWE's red brand. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods laid out Mysterio following his Elimination Chamber qualifier loss to Logan Paul. The New Day and LWO had been feuding for several weeks due to Mysterio's disgust over Woods and Kingston turning on Big E.

The announcement about Mysterio's status was made during The New Day vs. LWO's Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods ultimately picked up the win.

Why Mysterio was written off WWE TV is currently unknown. The 50-year-old revealed in late 2024, though, that modern medicine and stem cell treatments have left him feeling incredible despite a career spanning multiple decades.

When Mysterio does return, don't expect him to have any superhero-inspired gear as his past attire led to Marvel sending WWE cease-and-desist letters.
