While Rhea Ripley was scheduled to challenge for the Raw Women's Championship at the July 2 Money In The Bank pay-per-view, Bianca Belair announced on last night's edition of the red brand that The Nightmare was no longer cleared to compete and had been pulled from the title match.

There is no word on why Ripley was pulled from Money In The Bank, but she has not been in action since winning a number one contender's match on June 6.

To determine a new challenger, a Fatal 5-Way was held on Raw and Carmella defeated Liv Morgan, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, and Becky Lynch to advance to Money In the Bank.

Carmella and Bianca Belair previously feuded in WWE last year and they faced off for the SmackDown Women's Title throughout the summer of 2021. Carmella was even initially announced as Belair's opponent at SummerSlam until Becky Lynch made her long-awaited return.

Carmella is a former SmackDown Women's Champion, Women's Tag Team Champion, and Money In The Bank briefcase holder.
