Vince McMahon Makes Surprise Appearance On WWE Raw

Vince McMahon on Raw last night

Vince McMahon made his second appearance on WWE TV in four days on Monday's episode of Raw from Lincoln, Nebraska.

The 76-year-old made an appearance during the first hour of Raw and briefly talked about the upcoming return of John Cena, claiming Cena dominated the red brand for 20 of the 30 years Raw has been on TV. McMahon then headed backstage as the crowd, once again, loudly cheered for him.

McMahon opened Friday's episode of SmackDown only hours after he stepped back as WWE CEO and Chairman while the WWE board carries out an internal investigation into misconduct allegations against him and John Laurinaitis. He simply repeated WWE's tagline of "Then. Now. Together. Forever", emphasising the "together" part of the signature before he welcomed fans to SmackDown.

McMahon's future in WWE has been uncertain since a Wall Street Journal article revealed the 76-year-old had made a $3 million payment to a former WWE employee over an alleged sexual relationship. He remains in charge of WWE creative.

John Laurinaitis, meanwhile, has been placed on administrative leave while the investigation is ongoing and he is believed to be "as good as gone" from the company.
