Rhino is set to make his All Elite Wrestling debut, with the former ECW Champion set for the company’s upcoming TV tapings in Detroit.

AEW revealed the news on social media, stating the Detroit native will make an appearance during AEW/Ring of Honor’s TV tapings on May 7 and May 8. It was not revealed if the ‘War Machine’ will be in action, or simply making an appearance.

The former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion has been a free agent since departing TNA Wrestling in December 2024, and after his upcoming appearance for AEW/ROH, Rhino will be looking to recapture the ‘10lbs of Gold’ when he takes on NWA Champion Thom Latimer at the Crockett Cup on May 17.

Rhino will not be the first former ECW World Champion to appear for AEW, with Rob Van Dam, Sabu and Raven having made cameos for the company, whilst Jerry Lynn works backstage as a coach/producer, and Taz is part of AEW’s commentary team.

AEW recently announced plans to run shows in the legendary ECW Arena in Philadelphia, with a residency planned in the 2300 Arena in late August/early September 2025.
