Ric Flair Comments On Plane Ride From Hell Dark Side Of The Ring Episode

The Nature Boy played a big part on the notorious flight

The second half of Vice Dark Side of the Ring series three is set to kick off by looking at one of the most notorious incidents in wrestling history; The Plane Ride from Hell.

There was booze, brawling, hi-jinx, and The Nature boy Ric Flair allegedly exposing himself to an air hostess, and now Naitch himself has commented on the upcoming episode, saying to Renee Paquette on Oral Sessions:

“God, I’ve heard about it too. Just when things are going good for me. Listen, you [Renee Paquette] put me on your podcast after. We’ll see how it plays out, because I was there and I don’t care whose name I gotta drop if the heat falls on me. I know who was where and what and who and what took place. I know the whole story.”

Taking place when WWE were flying back to the USA after a European tour in May 2002, everything you wouldn’t want to happen with a plane full of tired merry wrestlers were on board, happened. There was Vince McMahon trying to wrestle Kurt Angle, Dustin Runnels loudly serenading ex-wife Terri, X-Pac cutting off Michael Hayes’ mullet, and Curt Hennig trying to out amateur wrestle Brock Lesnar and almost causing a plane crash, amongst other incidents.

Several WWE talents were fired as a result of the flight.
