Deonna Purrazzo & Steve Maclin Wanted To Team Together In IMPACT Wrestling

Creative didn't see them interacting on-screen

Deonna Purrazzo and Steve Maclin have both experienced success in IMPACT Wrestling in recent months and they have been dominant inside the squared circle.

While they are in a relationship outside of the ring, Maclin and Purrazzo have yet to interact in IMPACT Wrestling. The Virtuosa noted she and Maclin wanted to team together for IMPACT's Homecoming Tournament but the creative team didn't envision that their two characters would interact on-screen.

"We did the Homecoming tournament we were like, 'it would be cool if we got to team together.' The writers were like, 'we don't see a world where you two would interact.' I was like, 'awww, okay, I agree, but also like... we love each other in real life.' I think we're tagging together on an Indie show at the end of next month. We'll see how that goes," Purrazzo said during a Q&A at the Asylum Store.

"I'm really happy to see him doing his own thing. For as long as he's been on TV and with WWE, he was never a singles star. He was in a tag team with Blake and then trios with the Forgotten Sons, so it's been fun for him to figure himself out. I'm going to let him roll with it and if our paths are meant to cross on TV then I look forward to that day," she continued.

Purrazzo ultimately teamed with Drama King Matt for the Homecoming Tournament and they defeated Decay in the final to become Homecoming King and Queen.
