Ric Flair has joked that he "could be next" following Hulk Hogan's passing at the age of 71.
Hulk Hogan died on Thursday, July 24 following a cardiac arrest. Hogan had suffered from serious health issues since he underwent neck surgery in May and his condition reportedly worsened in the week before his passing.
Ric Flair quickly paid tribute to his longtime friend and former WCW rival following Hogan's passing, but Flair has since joked on the Ariel Helwani Show that he is fearful he may be the next pro wrestler to pass away.
"I think he just got tired. I mean, 11 back operations, hip replacements. Now, a neck surgery. How much can your body take? We've all put ourselves in ridiculous positions in the business but, here I am, I'm five years older than Hulk and I don't hurt at all. I've had some serious health (issues), but I don't have an ache or pain in my body, and it bothers me and of course, it gives me anxiety that I could be next," laughed Flair.
Flair has suffered from his own health issues over the past several years, although the 16-time world champion recently announced he is cancer-free following an operation to remove skin cancer.
