Ric Flair Promises To Come Off The Top Rope In Final Match

Ric Flair is going to be leaping off the top rope on July 31

While he might be 73-years-old, Ric Flair has promised to come off the top rope in his final match on July 31.

"That's what I'm working on. It's just a timing issue. I'll guarantee I'll be coming off the top rope. Whether it's the flip or not, I don't know," Flair told the Tampa Bay Times.

The 16-time world champion is planning to come out of retirement at the upcoming 'Ric Flair's Last Match' event at Starrcast V. The show is being promoted by Thuzio, a Triller company, under the guise of Jim Crockett Promotions. FTR and The Rock 'N' Roll Express will also be involved in Flair's final match.

Ricky Steamboat was initially approached about being in the bout but he ultimately turned down the opportunity. It also briefly appeared that Hulk Hogan would be coming out of retirement but Flair denied that was the case on his podcast.

July 31 will be Flair's first match since September 2011, when he faced Sting on an episode of TNA IMPACT.
