Ric Flair Reportedly 'A Lock' To Join AEW Following WWE Release

The Nature Boy left WWE in recent weeks

The Nature Boy Ric Flair to AEW is reportedly a certainty, according to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer.

According to Meltzer’s report:

“While nothing has been announced, the word going around is that it seems to be a lock Ric Flair will be headed here when he is legally able.”

Since Flair left WWE on August 2, speculation has been rife about him joining AEW. The smart money would be on Flair joining up with future son in law Andrade El Idolo, who recently said he wants his ‘whole family’ to join him in All Elite Wrestling.

Another option could see Flair join up with former Four Horsemen running buddies Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard, currently managing Cody Rhodes and The Pinnacle respectively. To see the three putting a beatdown on The Rhodes family isn’t out of the realms of possibility.

AEW’s use of legendary names has been effective, with the likes of Jake Roberts also taking up a managerial position in AEW, whilst legends such as Greg Valentine, Konnan, and Atsushi Onita amongst others having made appearances in the company to help further storylines.
