Ric Flair Reveals The Post-Retirement Text He Got From The Undertaker

The Dead Man said his final farewell at Survivor Series last year

Ric Flair has revealed the kind words The Undertaker sent to him in a text message following his final farewell ceremony at Survivor Series 2020.

The Undertaker's legendary career came to an end at the event where it began 30 years prior, with Flair one of the iconic figures to be physically in attendance for his retirement speech.

'Taker also famously broke character at the conclusion of Flair's retirement ceremony on the Raw following WrestleMania 24, with the two enjoying a close relationship.

During an interview with Wrestling Inc, Flair revealed the message 'Taker sent to him after his own retirement, thanking him for everything he'd done for the professional wrestling business.

"Happy Thanksgiving Champ!! Thank you for carrying this business and setting the bar of greatness! The bar we all strived to reach and very few have even gotten close to! Then, now and forever you are ‘The Champ’!! So proud to call you my friend.”

Flair also discussed the match between the two legends at WrestleMania 18, saying that Undertaker helped him through the contest to have a great showing.

Flair said: “That’s when Mark carried me, but we did have a hell of a match. In 2002, I’m 54, but we did have a hell of a match, which was great.

"After The Last Ride, he talks about [how] he had some insecurities too. His were around health problems, bad back and stuff like that, which caused him to be insecure. Mine was all mental but we share that in common."
