Ric Flair Says He 'Will Never Retire' Following WWE Release
Flair departed WWE last week
Ric Flair has taken to social media to insist that he 'will never retire' in the wake of his release from WWE.
Flair's departure from WWE was reported on Monday 2 August with the promotion confirming the two-time Hall Of Famer had left the company a day later. The 72-year-old was with the promotion since 2012, having returned following ending his in-ring career in TNA.
With The Nature Boy's WWE exit coming amid reports of disagreements over creative, and Flair looking to get back in the ring, the iconic wrestler has teased a return to wrestling by posting a clip on Twitter, saying he won't retire from the business.
The clip, which featured part of a Flair promo from his final in-ring run in WWE back in late 2007, said: "I have to announce to you… that I will NEVER retire! I will only retire when I’m dead in this ring! Over my dead body. I’ve got too much juice left. Wooo! I’m still the Nature Boy!"
Fellow WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T, who speaks to Flair regularly, recently speculated on his podcast that he might be looking to return to the ring. Flair's recent actions on social media only add credence to those beliefs.
