Ric Flair: There Are Only Eight Truly ‘Great’ Workers In WWE & AEW

The Nature Boy says there is a distinct difference between 'good' and 'great'

In his heyday Ric Flair was one of the greatest professional wrestlers on the planet, and has worked with some of the biggest names in wrestling history. But according to ‘The Nature Boy’ there is a difference between being a good wrestler and a great wrestler, and said in his experience they are few and far between.

Falir commented about the difference in ‘goodness’ and ‘greatness’ on the latest episode of the Ric Flair Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast, before saying there are only a handful of truly great workers currently plying their trade across WWE and AEW:

“The difference for me was for every great opponent like [Ricky] Steamboat there was somebody who wasn’t that good. Going back to what I said last week, there’s a big difference than being good and being great and the great ones are few and far between.”

Flair continued: “If I look at both companies [WWE and AEW] and I watch them for years and you take both companies combined, there’s eight great workers between those two companies.”

Flair didn’t reveal who he thought those eight names were.
