It’s no secret that WWE have been counter-programming All Elite Wrestling events, and AEW’s Ricochet has given his thoughts on the matter.
With AEW running All In Texas on July 12, WWE have counter-programmed with a weekend of events, with Saturday Night’s Main Event, NXT Great American Bash, and Evolution II running on July 12 and July 13 to draw attention and focus away from AEW’s biggest show of the year.
Recent reports suggested that WWE will continue this booking practice - a tactic they have employed to great effect throughout their history - and current AEW star Ricochet is not a fan, taking to X/Twitter to call the practice a ‘b*tch move’.
It’s believed that WWE are set to hold NXT Heatwave on August 24 to go against AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door London, with WWE NXT set to run the Philadelphia market just before AEW is set to start its summer residency in the 2300 Arena.
AEW President Tony Khan was recently asked about WWE’s counter-programming tactics, but Khan deflected the question to instead promote upcoming AEW shows.
