At the back end of last year, it was revealed that Dustin Rhodes had put pen to paper on a new AEW deal, though the details regarding this contract were unknown at the time. Some information has now emerged when it comes to Rhodes’ new deal, and it seems as though he shall be tied down to the company for quite some time.
In a piece published by The Dallas Morning News regarding the Rhodes family, it is noted that Dustin Rhodes signed a new six year deal with AEW, which not only covers him as an in-ring performer, but also as a coach and ambassador for the company. Rhodes is now 56 years of age, so if he decides to hang up the boots any time soon, his new AEW contract covers him for work done away from the ring too. This would keep him in AEW through 2030.
Rhodes spoke earlier this year about his future in AEW, and said that not only did he eye up finishing his career as an AEW wrestler, but he also spoke on a Sting-like retirement run, something he feels as though Tony Khan would give him.
