Road Dogg: Paul Heyman Pitched Hard For Montez Ford
Could Montez Ford be set for a push?
Montez Ford has his supporters both inside and outside of WWE, with many hoping the former Raw Tag Team Champion receives a singles push at some point down the line, which is looking more likely following the events of Saturday's SummerSlam pay-per-view.
One person who has always seen the potential in Montez Ford is Paul Heyman and Road Dogg revealed on Busted Open Radio that Heyman pitched hard for Montez back in 2017.
"Montez Ford is a guy right now that is in the conversation of, 'Holy mackerel.' Paul Heyman had that conversation with Vince McMahon, while I sat in the room, about five years ago about Montez. Pitched him hard. We all knew Montez, but he was new. Paul saw it. He saw this was coming. He was the first one I heard say Montez, but Montez is the total package. What a great guy, a level head on his shoulders, a great athlete. He might be the next big guy," Road Dogg said.
The WWE Hall of Famer also speculated that Ford could be set for a big push in WWE following Triple H's appointment as head of creative, especially if Paul Heyman has more creative influence in the company.
