Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask Win IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Title At NJPW Road To Power Struggle

New champions!

New Japan Pro-Wrestling have new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions.

Robbie Eagles and Tiger Mask challenged Suzuki-gun's El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru for the gold at today's Road To Power Struggle show from Korakuen Hall. After a back and forth match, Eagles forced Kanemaru to tap out after he applied the Ron Miller Special.

With the win, Eagles becomes a double champion in NJPW. He is currently in his first reign as IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion. Tiger Mask also captured his first gold in New Japan since he last held the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Title with Jushin "Thunder" Liger in 2012.

Today is the sixth time the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship has changed hands in 2021. Beginning the year as champions, El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru have twice reclaimed the gold in 2021. Bullet Club's El Phantasmo and Taiji Ishimori have also twice won the title in 2021, while Roppongi 3K have had one reign with the belts.
