Roderick Strong reportedly put pen to paper on a new contract with WWE earlier this year.
With Adam Cole departing from WWE in August and Johnny Gargano and Kyle O'Reilly's respective WWE NXT contracts due to expire this month, speculation has mounted that NXT Cruiserweight Champion Strong's deal could also be running out by the end of 2021.
However, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has reported that Strong is staying with WWE for the immediate future, having signed a new deal with the company earlier this year.
Strong is currently part of the Diamond Mine faction, alongside the Creed Brothers, Ivy Nile, Hachiman and Malcolm Bivens, and won the Cruiserweight Title from KUSHIDA in September.
He retained his Championship in a match with Joe Gacy at NXT WarGames this past weekend, amid reports WWE are considering getting rid of the Title.
The former Undisputed Era member and ex-North American Champion storyline 'resigned' from NXT amid his old faction's implosion earlier this year, and was off television for a number of months before eventually returning in June.
