ROH Begins TV Title Eliminator Tournament

The next challenger to Samoa Joe will be determined in an ROH World Television Title Eliminator Tournament

Samoa Joe's next challenger for the ROH World Television Championship will be determined in an Eliminator Tournament that got underway on the July 27 episode of ROH TV on HonorClub.

Director of Authority Stokely Hathaway put the tournament together and the quarter-finals saw Christopher Daniels defeat JD Drake, Tony Nese defeat Cheeseburger, Gravity pick up a win over Anthony Henry, and Shane Taylor score a victory against Serpentico. There was no bracket revealed but the semi-finals will take place in the coming weeks.

Samoa Joe has been ROH World Television Champion since defeating Minoru Suzuki on the April 13, 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite. He has defended the belt against the likes of Colt Cabana, Mark Briscoe, and Christopher Daniels while proclaiming himself as the King of Television.

The Samoan Submission Machine just about held onto his title at Death Before Dishonor, defeating Dalton Castle following interference from Stokely Hathaway, who also had The Boys ejected from ringside. Castle was in action on this week's edition of ROH TV as The Party Peacock and The Boys defeated Ari Daivari, Slim J, and Sonny Kiss of the Trustbusters.
