Ring of Honor are reportedly close to landing a TV deal, with the historic indie promotion long touted for a broadcast deal by owner Tony Khan.

With All Elite Wrestling finalising a new deal with Warner Bros Discovery in Autumn 2024, Khan can now look to getting ROH on TV providers, with the promotion currently running via it’s HonorClub subscription service.

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer suggests ROH are close to securing a deal, with the recent decision to crown Chris Jericho as ROH World Champion seen as a tactic to entice potential broadcast partners, such is the name value of Jericho.

As for potential landing spots for ROH, Meltzer suggests TruTV are the rumoured frontrunners, with the platform looking to transition into a more sports orientated prime time channel and needing fresh content. As always, until something is confirmed then it is worth taking any deals with a pinch of salt, such is the fickle nature of media rights negotiations.

Since Khan purchased ROH in 2022, the brand has been relegated to the definitive d-show in the AEW/ROH repertoire, with many opining that the brand would not be able to experience real growth unless a broadcast deal was reached.
