Chris Jericho is now a nine-time world champion.

The 53-year-old challenged Mark Briscoe for the ROH World Title in a Ladder War on Wednesday night's edition of AEW Dynamite. Briscoe looked set to win in the final moments after he decked Jericho with a Jay Driller but Big Bill charged through the crowd and took out Mark with a Chokeslam from the ladder through tables on the outside.

Big Bill then hoisted Jericho onto his shoulders and climbed the ladder, allowing his stablemate to grab the ROH World Championship belt and become 'the nueve' in the process.

Jericho's win made him a two-time ROH World Champion. He previously held the belt for 80 days in 2022. Mark Briscoe's reign, meanwhile, ended after 201 days due to Jericho's win. Briscoe had been champion since defeating Eddie Kingston at April's Supercard of Honor.

Jericho's first challenger was quickly revealed as Tomohiro Ishii headed to the ring post-match. The Learning Tree laid out Ishii to end his Summer-long stint in All Elite Wrestling several weeks ago.

Jericho's win also continues a programme with The Conglomeration that has been ongoing since 'Le Champion's feud with HOOK came to an end at All In.
