ROH Women's World Title Match Confirmed For Death Before Dishonor 2022

Martinez vs. Deeb is set for ROH’s next PPV

Another title match has been confirmed for the upcoming Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor 2022 PPV, as ROH Women’s World Champion Mercedes Martinez is set to defend the title against Serena Deeb.

Fans assumed this match was in the works after Deeb turned on tag partner Martinez on a recent episode of AEW: Rampage, and during this week’s episode of AEW Control Center on YouTube, the match was officially green-lit.

Martinez has held the gold since defeating IMPACT’s Deonna Purrazzo for the title in May, having earlier gained the interim title at Supercard of Honor XV in April. Since winning the undisputed title, Martinez has successfully defended the belt on four occasions, across AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation.

The ROH Women’s World Title match is the fourth championship bout announced for Death Before Dishonor, with ROH World Tag Team Champions FTR set to face The Briscoes, whilst ROH PURE Champion Wheeler Yuta puts the title on the line against PWG World Champion Daniel Garcia, and ROH World TV Champion Samoa Joe goes one-on-one with former protégé Jay Lethal.
