Ronda Rousey Reveals Scrapped Idea For 'I Quit' Match At WWE WrestleMania Backlash

Ronda Rousey on a scrapped pitch for WrestleMania Backlash

Following her WrestleMania 38 loss to Charlotte Flair, Ronda Rousey had better luck at WrestleMania Backlash on May 8 as she defeated The Queen in an 'I Quit' Match to capture the SmackDown Women's Championship. Within the match, both women brawled around the arena, battered each other with kendo sticks, and Rousey won the match after wrenching back on an Armbar while Flair's arm was trapped in a steel chair.

A former Cruiserweight Champion was almost involved in the match, though, and Rousey revealed in a Facebook gaming stream that she pitched for Drew Gulak to be beaten down by her in the WrestleMania Backlash contest.

"It's funny, I pitched him [Drew Gulak] getting involved, getting thwacked...I pitched him getting involved for the 'I Quit' Match [at WrestleMania Backlash]. Like running into him and thwacking [him]," Rousey said.

Gulak has been involved in various roles on WWE TV in recent weeks and he has been humiliated by Charlotte Flair as Adam Pearce's lackey and squashed by Gunther over the past month.
