Ronda Rousey Selects Charlotte Flair For WWE WrestleMania 38 Opponent
The Rumble winner makes her choice
Ronda Rousey has made her choice for WrestleMania 38, selecting SmackDown Women's champion Charlotte Flair as her opponent for the event.
Rousey won last Saturday's women's Royal Rumble match, giving her the choice of Flair or Raw Women's champion Becky Lynch for WrestleMania.
On SmackDown Friday night, Sonya Deville said that Lynch told her that Rousey had selected her as her WrestleMania opponent. This left Flair open for WrestleMania, to which Flair selected Sasha Banks as her opponent.
Rousey then made her way to the ring, said she didn't make anything official, and added that she was choosing Flair for her WrestleMania opponent.
The two women were part of a winner-take-all triple threat match at WrestleMania 35 for both Women's titles, which was won by Lynch. The match was Rousey's last appearance with WWE until the 2022 Rumble.
The current card for WWE WrestleMania 38, taking place Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, is as follows:
* WWE Universal: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar
* SmackDown Women's: Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Ronda Rousey
