Roxanne Perez Beats Mandy Rose For WWE NXT Women's Championship

A major title change on last night's show

Roxanne Perez is the new NXT Women's Champion after beating Mandy Rose in the main event of last night's episode of NXT.

Perez secured her title shot by winning the inaugural Iron Survivor Challenge match at this past weekend's Deadline premium live event.

Perez opened last night's show by coming to the ring and speaking about her Deadline victory. She was interrupted by Grayson Waller, who was chased off by NXT Champion Bron Breakker. Perez was then jumped from behind by Rose.

Once she had recovered from the attack, Perez said she didn't want to wait until the New Year's Evil event and wanted her title match tonight. Rose agreed and the match was set up for later on.

Perez beat Rose clean after hitting the Pop Rox. After her win, she celebrated with her original trainer and mentor, WWE Hall of Famer and NXT commentator Booker T. Rose, meanwhile, watched from the ring, dejected.

Mandy's reign lasted 413 days, making it the third-longest in NXT history. She had held the title since defeating Raquel Gonzalez at Halloween Havoc on October 26, 2021.
