Rumour Killer On Falling Out Between MJF & Tony Khan

The rumours of a falling out between MJF & Tony Khan are not true

Over the last week, there were some rumours floating around that former AEW World Champion MJF had some sort of  falling out with  AEW President Tony Khan. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time this has happened between the pair, as back in 2022 tensions arose when MJF appeared on a podcast without clearance, with controversy ultimately surrounding the 2022 Double or Nothing PPV when it was unclear whether MJF would even show up for the event. This was then turned into a storyline as MJF cut a pipebomb promo and “walked out” of AEW.

However, despite this news emerging, Fightful Select have debunked this particular narrative. Fightful states, There were untrue rumors that picked up saying that MJF and Tony Khan had a falling out this past week.”

When it comes to the possibility of MJF appearing the Royal Rumble match with his AEW contract “supposedly” expiring on January 1, 2024, the wording from Fightful explains that it would be a miracle if he showed up at the Rumble tonight. MJF is currently ruled out of action via several injuries, with reports suggesting that he could be out for anywhere up to a year.
