RUSH Returns To AEW Programming... Sort Of
RUSH is back on AEW TV
RUSH has been absent from AEW programming for a little while now, last wrestling in May when he, Dralistico, and Preston Vance of La Faccion Ingobernables lost in trios tag team action to The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn on an episode of AEW Rampage.
In the months since, the contractual situation of El Toro Blanco was up in the air, before it ultimately emerged that RUSH had struck a big money deal to keep him with AEW, fending off interest from the likes of WWE.
He finally made his “return” to AEW programming last night, or at least just his voice did anyway. Associate of Rush, Jose The Assistant, was shown receiving a phone call from RUSH, telling him to send La Faccion Ingobernables to Mexico. Dralistico and Preston Vance were shown partying in Mexico, before the intoxicated pair were attacked and kidnapped by some masked men, with Jose The Assistant looking on with a sinister grin. What all this means isn’t entirely clear, but one thing is for sure, and that is that RUSH will be making an on-screen comeback in the near future.
