Sami Zayn wants to prove himself on the Great British Bake Off
The baking world was rocked this week when it was revealed that Great British Bake Off host Matt Lucas will be stepping down from his role on the beloved show.
With Lucas out of the picture, there’s space for a new host to join Noel Fielding, Paul Hollywood, and Prue Leith, and WWE Superstar Sami Zayn wants a shot, saying the following on Twitter:
"Where do I apply? @BritishBakeOff"
This isn’t just Zayn angling for an easy payday, as The Bloodline member revealed back in 2020 that he is a huge fan of the show, and would like to take part as a contestant, despite not being a baker in any way shape or form:
"I can't say enough good things about [the show]," Zayn told the Metro. "And I recently learned there's a Celebrity Bake Off, so if there's ever some sort of way for me to politick my way into it, I would look forward to that."
The Great British Bake Off has been a staple of British TV since 2010, and is broadcast throughout the world, with the show known as ‘The Great British Baking Show’ in the US and Canada.
