CM Punk Fuels Speculation About WWE Return

CM Punk teases WWE return

CM Punk had some fun on Thursday, fuelling speculation about a potential WWE return for the former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion.

Punk took to his Instagram Story, posting images from his early days in WWE, including one of him alongside Mickie James. Punk did also post photos of his dog Larry and one of The Second City Saviour alongside Rancid's Lars Frederiksen, however.

Punk previously performed for WWE from 2006 until he was released by the company on his wedding day in 2014, months after he walked out of the Raw after the Royal Rumble. The 44-year-old returned to pro wrestling in August 2021 as part of All Elite Wrestling but his run has since turned sour, with Punk currently suspended from the company after his involvement in a backstage fight post-All Out.

Punk is expected to leave AEW and speculation has suggested he could face Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 39. Punk, however, is currently out of action with a torn triceps and some reportedly don't want him back in WWE.
