Brody King Wants AEW Match With Samoa Joe
Brody King vs. Samoa Joe? HOSS FIGHT AHOY
Everyone loves a hoss fight, just two big wrestlers smacking the snot out of one another, or as Big E likes to say "big meaty men slapping meat". In AEW, they have quietly assembled their own collection of hosses, with the likes of Keith Lee, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Brody King regularly laying on beatdowns across AEW TV.
As for King, the House of Black member is seemingly also a fan of hoss fights, and during an interview with Renee Paquette on The Sessions, King revealed there’s a dream match of his waiting to happen in AEW, and lo and behold it’s with another hoss:
“Samoa Joe [is who I’d like to share the ring with in AEW]. Not to sound like a fanboy, he’s probably my favourite wrestler of all-time, stylistically and just the type of person that he is, the type of wrestler that he is, the way he looks. I think that he is the perfect wrestler. I would just love to test myself against him,” said King.
King and Joe have never wrestled one another, with King’s rise to prominence on the indies and in ROH occurring as Joe was busy in WWE and NXT. Now both are in AEW, there’s every chance the two could clash in a ring.
