Conrad Thompson Claims Ric Flair Isn't Going To Come Out Of Retirement

No second Last Match for Ric Flair, according to Conrad Thompson

Ric Flair won't be coming out of retirement for another last match if son-in-law Conrad Thompson is to be believed.

Speaking with Wrestling Inc. about rumours of an in-ring return for Flair at the 2023 Royal Rumble, Thompson stated that Flair isn't going to wrestle again.

"I don't mean to be disrespectful, but that's clickbait. Anybody who actually listens to the podcast knows that he's said that tongue-in-cheek, laughing. Even when he talked about the Rumble, he's like 'Somebody reported that I'm going to be at the Rumble. I'm not. I'm going to be at the 30th Anniversary Raw. I am going to be in San Antonio, but I'm doing a signing for Fitterman. But I'll bring my gear, I'll bring my robe. Hell yeah, I'll be number 30.' It's a joke. It's not serious. He's not really going to be in the Rumble, but I know that gets people talking and it gets people buzzing. But the reality is, Ric's not going to wrestle again," Thompson said.

Despite Thompson's claims, Flair has hinted at an in-ring return since his Last Match in July of 2022, recently saying he could have another match right now that would be much better than his retirement bout. The 73-year-old retired in July at Ric Flair's Last Match with a win alongside Andrade El Idolo against Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal.
