Sami Zayn Found Not Guilty In Tribal Court On WWE Raw

Sami Zayn is still a part of The Bloodline...for now

As Roman Reigns' distrust of Sami Zayn has continued to grow, the three-time Intercontinental Champion was put on trial by the tribal court on Monday's special Raw is XXX episode.

Paul Heyman presented the prosecution against Zayn, first mentioning that ECW is dead before he revealed that he wishes the same fate had befallen Sami Zayn. Heyman then claimed Zayn was in cahoots with Kevin Owens and has been since day one, followed by his evidence composed of various clips from WWE TV. The final clip, according to Heyman, was the most damning as it showed Zayn accidentally grazing Reigns while moving past him during a promo segment on the December 23 edition of SmackDown.

Heyman claimed this was assault and questioned what heinous act Zayn would perform next.

Next, Zayn presented his defence, telling The Bloodline that he was hurt by the accusations after all of the time they had spent together. Zayn then revealed that his defence was that he had no defence, something which infuriated Reigns to such an extent that he demanded Solo Sikoa take out Sami.

As Sikoa was about to deck Zayn with a Samoan Spike, though, Jey Uso stopped his brother, presenting his own defence of Sami composed of clips where Zayn had helped The Bloodline win, including at Survivor Series WarGames where he betrayed Kevin Owens. Jey then reflected on his troubled past with Zayn, saying Sami's loyalty to The Bloodline was bulletproof.

After much deliberation, Reigns gave his verdict, declaring that Zayn was not guilty...for now.

Zayn quickly received an opportunity to prove his loyalty to The Bloodline in the next segment as he replaced the injured Jimmy Uso during The Usos' Raw Tag Team Title defence against Judgment Day. Such was Zayn's impact on the match that he and Jey hit the 1D to Dominik Mysterio before Sami made the cover for the successful title defence.
