Sami Zayn Match Set For WWE Crown Jewel

Sami Zayn in action at WWE Crown Jewel

In somewhat of a rarity, the WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view on Saturday, November 4 will feature a match on the kickoff show.

It was announced during Monday Night Raw that Sami Zayn will take on JD McDonagh in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Zayn has been locked in a programme with the Judgment Day in recent months and their feud continued on the October 30 edition of Raw in Greenville, South Carolina. The show went off the air after Sami Zayn laid out McDonagh with a Helluva Kick and Cody Rhodes decked McDonagh with a Couple of Crossrhodes on top of the announce table.

McDonagh has been trying to join Judgment Day for the past few months and he is very much Judgment Day-adjacent, often interfering in the faction's matches. He and Sami Zayn had a couple of matches on Raw earlier this year with their head-to-head record currently tied at one win apiece.

WWE Crown Jewel 2023 lineup:

  • Roman Reigns (c) vs. LA Knight - Undisputed WWE Universal Championship
  • Seth Rollins (c) vs. Drew McIntyre - World Heavyweight Championship
  • Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Nia Jax vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Shayna Baszler vs. Zoey Stark - Fatal 5-Way for the Women's World Championship
