Sammy Guevara Comments On Losing The AEW TNT Title

It wasn't Guevara's night

Sammy Guevara didn't have a very merry Christmas.

In a match that aired on the Christmas Day edition of AEW Rampage, The Spanish God lost the TNT Title to Cody Rhodes, with the now-three-time TNT Champion picking up the win following two Cross Rhodes' and a Tiger Driver '98.

Guevara commented on the loss on Sunday, December 26, noting his journey will continue.

"What a beautiful life, 11 years of Blood, Sweat & Scars got me here. The ups and the downs, I wouldn't change a thing. It wasn't my night but it doesn't mean tomorrow won't be. The journey continues," Sammy tweeted.

With the loss to Cody, Guevara's reign as TNT Champion came to an end after 87 days. The Inner Circle member defeated Miro for the title back on the September 29 edition of Dynamite and he successfully defended the belt against Bobby Fish, Ethan Page, Jay Lethal and Tony Nese.

Guevara also became embroiled in the Inner Circle's feud with American Top Team and he teamed with his faction-mates against Dan Lambert's group at the Full Gear pay-per-view in November.
