Samoa Joe Absent From Twisted Metal Commercial During WWE Raw

No Samoa Joe in the Twisted Metal promos during WWE Raw

WWE seemingly didn't want to promote an All Elite Wrestling star during the July 31 edition of Monday Night Raw.

Peacock's new Twisted Metal series was promoted during Raw this week in graphics and trailers but Sweet Tooth, despite being the antagonist of the series, was missing from the materials. Although the character is voiced by Will Arnett, Samoa Joe is the man under Sweet Tooth's mask on the screen and he has been featured in promotional materials for the show elsewhere.

Samoa Joe even reacted to being cut from the Twisted Metal promotional materials, simply tweeting "Y'all know" alongside two laughing emojis.

Joe had two runs in WWE between 2015 and 2022 as an in-ring talent and later as a scout and coach in NXT. He was released from the company in January 2022 and he returned to Ring of Honor a few months later. He has been present in ROH and All Elite Wrestling since then and he is the reigning ROH World Television Champion.

Based on the popular PlayStation series, Twisted Metal is an action comedy series that features Anthony Mackie as the star. The series is not currently available to watch in the United Kingdom.
