Tiffany Stratton Given Alliterative WWE Nickname

Vince McMahon keeping the alliterative WWE nicknames alive

A new WWE talent has an alliterative nickname.

WWE NXT Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton was featured prominently during advertisements for NXT on Monday Night Raw this week, during which she was dubbed the "Blockbuster Blonde." Similar to her entrance at WWE NXT Great American Bash, Stratton's commercial had a Barbie theme, with WWE seemingly looking to capitalise on the success of the Barbie movie that has taken the box office by storm.

Alliterative nicknames have become common on WWE TV in recent weeks due to a Vince McMahon directive. Many of the nicknames like Scintilating Santos Escobar and cantankerous Kevin Owens were quickly scrapped but "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and "Big" Bronson Reed have remained on Monday Night Raw.

Tiffany Stratton has been NXT Women's Champion since winning the vacant title at May's NXT Battleground. She has twice successfully defended the belt against Thea Hail, including at the Great American Bash in a Submission Match which came to an end after Andre Chase threw in the towel for his faction mate.
