Samoa Joe Regains AEW TNT Title From Darby Allin

The King of Television reigns supreme

Samoa Joe is once again AEW TNT champion, after defeating Darby Allin in a No Holds Barred match in the main event of Wednesday's AEW Dynamite in Dayton, OH.

Late in the match, Allin used cutters to remove the ring canvas, and pulled out several sheets of protective foam to expose the ring's wooden foundation. However, when he attempted a top rope maneuver onto Joe, Joe shoved the referee into the ropes, crotching the champion. Joe then followed up with a top rope Muscle Buster onto the boards to win the title.

After the match, Joe's celebration was cut short when Wardlow made his surprise return, attacking Joe. Wardlow attempted a powerbomb, but Joe managed to escape.

The win gives Joe his second reign with the TNT championship. He previously reigned with the title for 46 days after beating Wardlow and fellow challenger Powerhouse Hobbs in a three-way bout at Full Gear on November 19.

Allin's second reign ends after just 28 days. He defeated Joe for the title on the January 4 episode of Dynamite in his native Seattle.
