Samoa Joe Spotted For The First Time Since Vacating WWE NXT Title

Joe has not been seen since September

Samoa Joe has been seen publicly in an official WWE setting for the first time since vacating the NXT Championship in September.

Joe has not been spotted in any capacity on WWE television since voluntarily dropping the NXT Title via a video on social media, noting that the WWE medical team had advised him to step away from in-ring competition for an as-yet undetermined period of time.

The 42-year-old had only claimed the Championship a couple of weeks prior from Karrion Kross at NXT TakeOver 36 but has not been visible in any WWE capacity since NXT's transition to NXT 2.0.

However Joe, who also holds an position with WWE in talent scouting capacity, has now been photographed alongside new recruit Alema Collins at the WWE Performance Center.

Collins, who previously played college football for Ottawa University in Arizona, has shared the image on himself posing with Joe on Instagram.

Joe was notably released by WWE amid 'budget-cut' related departures from the company in April but returned to the promotion under the NXT umbrella a couple of months later.
