Satoshi Kojima Becomes New MLW World Heavyweight Champion At MLW SuperFight
Satoshi Kojima is the new MLW World Heavyweight Champion
MLW held their SuperFight event last night, and it ended up being a noteworthy show for more than one reason. Following returns from the likes of Mads Krugger, Raven, and Cesar Duran to MLW, the most notable story of the night came in the main event of the evening as Satoshi Kojima was crowned as the brand new MLW World Heavyweight Champion.
After two successive lariats in his match with Alex Kane, Kojima pinned the champion and made history in the process. This victory gives Kojima the privilege of being the first ever two-time MLW World Heavyweight Champion in the two decade history of this belt. All the way back in 2002, Kojima defeated Jerry Lynn to become the first ever champion, so it is only fitting for him to be the first and only (to date) two-time champion.
At MLWs Intimidation Games event later this month, Kojima will be going up against Minoru Suzuki in a match that was announced last night, though it isn’t known as of yet if this will be a match for the championship.
In his victory speech, he told the crowd to eat bread and drink beer.
