Scott D'Amore Teases Braun Strowman & Buddy Matthews Joining IMPACT Wrestling

Are the duo heading to the IMPACT Zone?

Are Braun Strowman and Buddy Matthews heading to IMPACT Wrestling? A recent tease from EVP Scott D'Amore seems to suggest so.

Both Strowman and Matthews - formerly known as Buddy Murphy - have been free agents since getting their respective releases from WWE at the start of June. As their 90-day non-compete clauses are set to come to an end, D'Amore has indicated the duo are both IMPACT-bound.

During a livestream on Jade Chung's Twitch channel, D'Amore was seen attending a baseball game with Chung, Josh Alexander, and George Iceman. As Chung hyped up this week's IMPACT Wrestling D'Amore noted that Matthews will debut 'this Thursday'.

The IMPACT Executive Vice-President then said that the promotion was on the road to 'Braun For Glory', leaving Chung flummoxed before asking if the audience 'got that'. D'Amore then said: 'That's called an Easter Egg, kids.'

It should be noted that neither Strowman or Matthews will be physically in the IMPACT Zone until at least mid-September, with neither in attendance for any of the recent tapings.

Strowman's particular tease indicates a debut date of around Saturday 23 October, the date set for this year's IMPACT Bound For Glory.
