'WWE Day 1' Pay-Per-View Confirmed For New Year's Day 2022

A new PPV enters the rotation

WWE has confirmed the pay-per-view set for New Year's Day 2022 in Atlanta, Georgia, will be known as 'WWE Day 1'.

The new year will start with a brand new pay-per-view in WWE's annual rotation after the company confirmed in local advertisements and listings that the name of the show on Saturday 1 January 2022 would be 'Day 1'.

Day 1 will emanate from the State Farm Arena and it will be the first time that Atlanta has played host to a WWE pay-per-view in six years.

The name reveal and further information from the local commercial was shared on social media by a fan - @ThomasDBradley - while the State Farm Arena website also updated their listing for the pay-per-view, confirming tickets go on sale at the end of August.

“State Farm Arena is a phenomenal venue with a long history of hosting world-class events,” said Scott Zanghellini, WWE Senior Vice President, Revenue Strategy & Development. “We’re excited to deliver this pay-per-view to the people of Atlanta and the many that travel to the city to celebrate New Year’s."
