Scrapped AEW Plans For Ricky Starks Revealed
Ricky Starks may have nixed AEW's plans for him

All Elite Wrestling recently scrapped plans they had in place for Ricky Starks.
The former FTW Champion has been on AEW TV since the March 30 edition of AEW Collision when Starks and Big Bill lost to Top Flight in the AEW World Tag Team Title tournament. Starks and Big Bill were the original planned winners of the match but the finish was changed as a precaution after Ricky appeared to pick up an injury. Starks didn't suffer a major injury in the match and he has since revealed that he has no idea why he isn't currently on AEW programming.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AEW originally planned for Big Bill to turn on Ricky Starks in the weeks after their loss to Top Flight, an attack which would have turned Starks babyface. The angle ultimately never took place and one source of Meltzer's stated that it was Ricky Starks' decision to nix it.
Big Bill has since transitioned to the Learning Tree with Chris Jericho and now Bryan Keith following the Double or Nothing pay-per-view. Whether AEW have any new plans in the works for Ricky Starks is unknown.
