Scrapped Pitch For Kevin Nash To Be Involved At WWE SummerSlam Revealed

Kevin Nash could have been involved at SummerSlam but WWE never got back to him

While one Detroit native in Kid Rock was involved in the cold open for SummerSlam, WWE decided not to book a Hall of Famer who hails from the Motor City for the August 5 pay-per-view.

Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash revealed he offered to be the master of ceremonies for SummerSlam but the company never got back to him.

"I asked if I could be involved. I asked if I could be the master of ceremonies of SummerSlam. I asked. Deaf ears, baby," Nash said.

Nash revealed he reached out to WWE a couple of months ago about potentially working the show. Although he wasn't booked, Big Sexy did attend the event at Ford Field.

Kevin Nash is a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, having been inducted individually and as part of the New World Order with Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, and Sean Waltman. Nash seldom appears on WWE TV, although the company does sometimes bring him in for their nostalgia shows like Legends Night.
