WWE Hall Of Famer Sean Waltman has revealed he is medically cleared to return to the squared circle.

The former WWE European Champion underwent knee surgery in January of 2021 and Waltman has previously hinted he would be open to an in-ring return in the Royal Rumble or to face Santos Escobar.

Speaking on today's episode of The Bump, Waltman revealed he has been cleared to return to the ring and he will be in in-ring shape in early 2022.

"It's going great. My surgeon gave me the go-ahead. I just got the green light to get back in the ring. I'm just gonna get into better and better shape. I'll be ring-ready beginning of next year, in case my phone rings," Waltman said.

Waltman hasn't wrestled since the WrestleCon Mark Hitchcock Memorial SuperShow in 2019 when he teamed with Jushin "Thunder" Liger and Hurricane Helms to take on Caleb Konley, Jake Manning and Zane Riley.

The former X-Pac made his professional wrestling debut back in 1989 and beyond his fame as a high-flyer, Waltman was a member of two of the biggest factions in wrestling history in D-Generation X and the nWo.
