X-Pac in the Royal Rumble? WWE seemingly weren't interested.

The 2022 Men's Royal Rumble on Saturday, January 29 wasn't well-received by fans, with the match being a somewhat slow affair until Brock Lesnar's surprise entrance at #30, with the only shocks being the returns of Shane McMahon, Drew McIntyre and Bad Bunny.

The company had the opportunity to inject another surprise into the Men's Rumble, though, as Sean Waltman revealed to Sports Illustrated that he let WWE know he would be willing to work the match.

"As far as the Royal Rumble, I gave them a heads up I'd be ready if they wanted me. I wasn't actively campaigning for it. I wasn't going to do that. But I let them know, and I guess they weren't interested," he said.

While WWE seemingly didn't want to use X-Pac, the WWE Hall Of Famer will return to the ring in Game Changer Wrestling on February 25 when he teams with Joey Janela against Matt Cardona and Brian Myers.

Jim Ross also recently said he would love to see X-Pac have a big match in All Elite Wrestling.
