Seth Rollins Admits He Felt Slighted When WWE SummerSlam Match With Matt Riddle Was Moved

Seth Rollins wasn't happy

While Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle would eventually go one-on-one at Clash At The Castle, the two rivals were originally scheduled to face off at SummerSlam before the match was suddenly pulled from the card. In storyline, an injury to Riddle was the reason for the move, but in reality Triple H simply decided to delay the match until the UK pay-per-view.

After the SummerSlam bout was postponed, Rollins apologised to fans on Twitter before Triple H replied, writing: "I hear you!"

Speaking about the situation on Out of Character with Ryan Satin, Rollins admitted he felt slighted, especially as he has a chip on his shoulder.

"We had a conversation before his tweet. Not mine, there were no conversations had before mine. Yeah, I was not happy with that and how that played out. I didn't mean to undermine any of what he was trying to get done and I understood in the long game of kind of why the decision was made to move my match off the show, but I still have a chip on my shoulder all the time. I still think I'm competing at such a high level right now. I felt very slighted and I wasn't about to let anybody but me control that narrative and so I felt bad, but I had to do what I had to do," Rollins said.

When the match did take place, Rollins emerged with the victory following a Stomp from the middle rope.
