Seth Rollins Dealing With 'Chronic' Injury Issues

Seth Rollins out "for a while" after being written off WWE TV

Following reports that Seth Rollins had been written off WWE TV, an update on the former World Heavyweight Champion has emerged from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter

Meltzer reported that Rollins' injury issues are "chronic but not at the point to getting flagged." The 38-year-old is looking to stay ahead of the issues, which is why he will be taking time off, and Meltzer noted Rollins will be "out for a while."

Rollins has suffered from injury problems for much of 2024 and he wrestled with a torn meniscus until he dropped the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 40. Rollins then underwent surgery to repair the injury and only returned in June.

The exact nature of Rollins' current issues is unknown. The former Shield member was written off WWE TV with an attack from Bronson Reed that saw the former JONAH lay him out with multiple Sentons and six Tsunamis.

This would suggest Rollins and Bronson Reed will have a match at a future pay-per-view, although it is unclear if Rollins will be out of action beyond Bash in Berlin on August 31. WWE's next pay-per-view after August 31 will be Bad Blood on Saturday, October 5.
