Seth Rollins Pulled From WWE Live Events Amid Injury Fears

Seth Rollins will not be wrestling on this weekend's WWE house shows

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has been pulled from this weekend's non-televised live events, according to PWInsider Elite, following the injury he suffered on the January 15 episode of Raw.

Rollins was said to have injured his knee during his title defence against Jinder Mahal in the main event of the show. While there is yet to be an official update on the severity of Seth's injury, WWE evidently believe it is bad enough that he should sit out the shows in Montgomery, Alabama and Jackson, Mississippi on Saturday and Sunday. Randy Orton is now being advertised as appearing in his place.

Rollins was helped to the back by officials following his match with Mahal on Raw and was reportedly seen limping backstage. Dave Meltzer, speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, subsequently noted that the extent of the damage wouldn't be known until Seth had an MRI done.

At this stage, Seth is not schedule to wrestle at the Royal Rumble on January 27. 'The Visionary' will obviously wish to avoid missing WrestleMania XL and a potential match with CM Punk. Rollins famously suffered a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus during a non-televised match with Kane on November 4, 2015, forcing him to relinquish his WWE World Heavyweight Title and, ultimately, miss The Showcase of the Immortals.
