WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins reportedly picked up an injury during his main event title defence against Jinder Mahal on the January 15 edition of RAW.

Rollins was guided to the back by WWE officials after his triumph over Mahal, with PWTorch reporting that Rollins was spotted limping backstage having seemingly hurt his left leg during the bout. Rollins is set to be assessed by WWE medical staff to figure out the extent of any damage.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shared the following about Rollins' condition:

"I just know he's getting an MRI... basically, I was told it could be something minor, it could be something worse. We won't know until the MRI result comes back," said Meltzer

Since winning the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Crown Jewel in May 2023, Rollins has wrestled a further 75 matches, often defending the title in WWE live SuperShow main events. So far in 2024 Rollins has wrestled six times - twice on RAW, and four times at house shows.

As of writing, Rollins is not currently set to wrestle at the upcoming WWE Royal Rumble on January 27, and if Rollins has indeed picked up an injury that will require him to miss in-ring action then WWE may keep him out of the ring ahead of a rumoured WWE WrestleMania XL championship clash with CM Punk.
